This page is contains information regarding the Giant Bosses in Grand Summoners.

Please note that the bosses below are only the regularly appearing Giant Bosses on the Global release of the game, not the Japanese release. Event and Quest bosses may be added at a later date.

Role[ | ]

Giant Bosses are regularly appearing bosses. Their purpose is to allow players to obtain materials and equipment that will help the player at higher levels of gameplay.

Their most important drops are fragments, which are necessary for Awakening 5★ Units. Other than quests rewards, these only drop in the highest difficulties attributed to these bosses, and occasionally for events.

They can also drop Gems/Jewels associated to that particular boss. These are used to enhance equipment that may also drop on occasion from these bosses at higher difficulties, which can prove useful in several circumstances.

Finally, Giant Bosses and their minions you can defeat in the Crest Palace will not drop the materials mentioned before, but can drop Crests and Crest Fragments. Crests apply relatively minor but permanent buffs to the unit which is the party leader at the time the boss is defeated, and Crest Fragments can be used to craft Crests.

Battle and Difficulty[ | ]

A Giant Bosses's difficulty is largely based on the amount of stars it is attributed. It's your choice as to whether or not you can beat this boss based on your ability to beat same star encounters in the story.

When battling a Giant Boss, you must first defeat waves of lesser enemies. With some exceptions, the higher the difficulty, the more waves you have to face. The Giant Boss will face you on the last wave. Occasionally though, you may find yourself fighting a horde of surprisingly resilient and/or hard hitting enemies before you face a comparatively easy Giant Boss. Many of these enemies will drop crates that carry some form of loot or another related to the boss in some way.

For several of the bosses, the harder difficulties are locked unless you have keys related to that boss or are a high enough rank. These keys can occasionally be obtained from the the other difficulties of that same boss.

However, be warned. Many of the Giant Bosses have some gimmick or another, whether it be completely negating damage for a time, massively reducing the maximum hit points of your party members, or inflicting status effects, just to name a few. Where one boss can be destroyed with ease, another will crush you mercilessly. Read boss descriptions before the fight and make sure you prepare accordingly.

Boss Schedule[ | ]

Giant Bosses can only be fought for a limited amount of time, before they disappear. Roughly speaking, there are 2 schedules a boss can fall under:

-Periodically
-Hourly

When one Giant Bosses's countdown ends, it will generally be replaced with another boss that will be available to fight for the same amount of time.
